Scented Air ensured that this was run at a decent pace, making the running until headed three furlongs out at which point Aldora took up the running. Fulke Johnson Houghton's Lady Bear, who had ground conditions to suit for the first time this season, looked a big danger coming into the dip but Mick Ryan's filly is much improved of late and the daughter of Magic Ring held on well. Golden Silca stayed on well to claim third place without ever really threatening the first two. In Luck, a five-year-old maiden did her handicap mark no favours by finishing fourth and it will be interesting to see how Clive Brittain places her in the future.
