raced keen tracking winner, ridden to challenge over 2f out, weakened inside final furlong, soon eased
A poor turnout for a decent prize, in which Howle Hill looks as though he will go off a short price. Alan King has done well with his small string on the flat, especially in his placing of Howle Hill. However, while he looks to have something in hand on the book, he is far from a straightforward ride, as he needs a strong gallop to see him at his best, something he is unlikely to get in this. As he is likely to go off at prohibitive odds it may be worth taking a chance with Blaise Castle, who can be expected to have improved for her debut, in what looked a decent maiden on the All-Weather at Lingfield, behind Machinist, who had previously run subsequent winner Stormont to just over a length on his debut. Gerard Butler's filly will also be more at home over this trip and she is taken to upset the likely hotpot. Gold Ring has a little abilty, but his future looks to lie in handicaps.
