Flying Bantam can come out on top ahead of Bond Playboy, Paddywack and Indian Steppes. Flying Bantam was beaten into third on his first attempt on Wolverhampton's new Polytrack last time but had earlier beaten Diexieme at Ripon on worse terms than if they had met in a handicap. That one bolted up in a weak contest at Dunstall Park on Monday, and although the form is nothing special, it still means that Flying Bantam must be respected in this company. Bond Playboy has claims as well, having made all in softish ground at Redcar before finishing down the field in the Ayr Silver Cup. He was prominent for some at Catterick four days ago and should fare better over this shorter trip. Paddywack is always dangerous to leave out of calculations, but his latest victories have been over five furlongs. Indian Steppes has gained both his victories on the all-weather. Yorker is a bit in and out but has winning form this term as well, so is added to the list of possibles, but Flying Bantam can see them all off.
