Viewforth has to hump topweight but gets the vote over Highland Warrior, Pawan and Malahide Express in the sprint handicap. Although Viewforth's last victory came on fast ground at Beverley in August, he was a prolific winner in heavy going a couple of years ago, and with conditions sure to be testing here, has more chance than most despite his welter burden. Highland Warrior is another that will not mind the going and he was fancied last time out at Musselburgh where he finished third. The drop back in trip may cost him though. Pawan's best runs have come in lowly company, but he goes well for a lady, while Malahide Express has not won since scoring on the fibresand two years ago. A weak contest should be well within the grasp of Viewforth who is the pick.
