        Edmond (FR) Another fine effort latest when third in Welsh National and sure to give a good account of himself once again despite topweight.

        Murt's Man (IRE) In good form at present and being prepared for the Scottish Grand National. Trying this trip for the first time and would be expected to run well to justify a trip further north.

        Narrow Water (IRE) National Hunt Chase entry who stays well and goes on the ground; sure to put up a bold show.

        Seven Towers (IRE) Quirky sort with loads of ability. Came back to something approaching his best last time and not without a chance if repeating that effort.

        Him of Praise (IRE) Hard to believe he's recovered from gruelling run in desperate ground at Uttoxeter latest and as such is overlooked today.

        Lady of Gortmerron (IRE) Fell in race won by Him of Praise at Uttoxeter, but has claims on previous performances; stays well and not without a chance here.

        Campaign Trying this trip for the first time and although lightly-raced this term is hard to get excited about.

        Royal Tommy (IRE) Relentless stayer who plodded on gamely at Bangor last week in horrendous conditions and this may come too soon for him.

        Scotton Green Won this race last year and is running off a similar mark today; looks to have been trained with this race in mind and expect him to give supporters a big run for their money.

        Saxon Duke Appears to be in the handicapper's grip at present and likely to struggle again.

        Mister Muddypaws Pulled up in this event 12 months ago and hard to see him doing much better today.

        Riot Leader (IRE) Difficult to enthuse about his chances and looks to be making up the numbers.
