        Verdict

        Swan Maiden is given the confident vote in the opener with Nilsatisoptimum and Nesno rated as the main dangers. The selection is a half-sister to Belmont Stakes winner Danzig Connection and with her stable in good form at present she should be up to making a winning debut. Nilsatisoptimum rates the main danger as he is related to a top-class triple US 1m winner and his yard are more than capable of readying a newcomer to win. However, he may be better over slightly further in time and for that reason he is narrowly passed over. Nesno is another well-bred colt worth noting in the market, but his stable are not renowned for first time pout winners and he may benefit from the run. Those with racecourse experience look readily opposable and it will be disappointing if a newcomer is not good enough to score here. Therefore, we return to the impressively-bred Swan Maiden to lead them home.
