In depth

Verdict

This looks ultra-competitive but Joys Of Spring's latest second at Goodwood was devalued when the winner only beat one home at Newmarket on Saturday. Gay Marriage has gone up 3lb since finishing second at Sandown but the unexposed pair Asyad, who won at Yarmouth in the autumn, and Wahgah, successful at Lingfield last month, have to go on the short-list. Godolphin also run Nottingham runner-up Kind Invitation and it's far too soon to write off Stereo Love and Cameo Tiara. MY SPIRIT shoulders top weight but had the proverbial ton in hand when extending her winning run against older horses at Carlisle at the start of the month and can complete the hat-trick.
