Parasol has been given a three-month break since disappointing at Epsom in June but goes well when fresh and is taken to make a winning return at the main expense of Checkit and Pentecost. The last mentioned has a poor strike-rate and has yet to prove his effectiveness beyond a mile so a bigger threat may come from Checkit. Mick Channon's colt has been a consistent performer in better races than this previously this season and should appreciate the drop in class. He holds more solid claims than Richard Hannon's Sgt Pepper, who has yet to show anything like his juvenile form this term. Of more interest may be David Elsworth's Island Sound, who showed improved form at Epsom last time on only his second start of the campaign. Parasol should be able to dominate this small field from the front though and is taken to bounce back to winning ways under Frankie Dettori.
