Peter Makin's Blues In The Night has done little wrong of late and looks the percentage call in a competitive finale so he gets the vote ahead of Trimlestown and Jimmy The Guesser. The last mentioned has been knocking on the door of late and is entitled to be thereabouts again but he may, once more, have to settle for a minor role. Kaveri has slipped back to a fair mark but has given little sign for encouragement of late, while Scarlet Flyer could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Sleeping Storm has run creditably of late and is another to consider along with Brendan Powell's High Octave, who has shown improved form recently. Henry Candy's stable has shown signs of finally coming back to form of late so Trimlestown is another that warrants respect but Blues In The Night is the form horse of the race and he gets the vote.
