Verdict

Tajdeef gets a tentative vote over Redsensor, with We're Delighted and Exclamation other interesting newcomers. Those mentioned all hail from top stables and are sure to know their job, so we would stress that the market should be noted, but we will put forward Tajdeef as the answer. The Barry Hills inmate holds a clutch of Group-race entries including the Middle Park Stakes in October, so is obviously highly thought of. Bred to get a mile in time, he may take high order among the current crop of juveniles, and can make an immediate impact here. Richard Hannon is double-handed with Rich Kid and Redsensor, and preference is for the latter, with in-form Ryan Moore on board. This colt's main target is the valuable St Leger Sales race in the autumn. We're Delighted is a son of Tobougg, whom Mick Channon trained to win the Dewhurst. The sire never really excelled on fast ground, so a watching brief is advised. Exclamation has plenty of big-race entries including the Mill Reef, so is another for the notebook, but Tajdeef could be the best of the lot and is the pick.
