Forries Waltz completed a hat-trick in South Africa early last summer, including a Listed contest. Like stablemate MASTERMIND he must concede lumps of weight due to being bred in the southern hemisphere but the latter does have the advantage of a recent run and did very well to get within a length of Kanaf - that run could just hand him the initiative. Burnt Sugar landed a Group 3 at Kempton in September, with Surewecan seven lengths behind, then subsequently ran at the highest level abroad. Richard Hannon should have him fit and ready and he can go well. Volatile wasn't beaten far in the Group 3 Cornwallis at Newmarket and will be better for last month's sharpener as will Toscanelli, who led for a long way on his reappearance in his first start since August.
