Verdict

Rambling Minster gets the vote over Sobraon, with Bubba Boy best of the rest. Keith Reveley has made a smooth transition since taking over from his mother, and it is hoped that Rambling Minster will be fit enough to provide him with another winner. The six-year-old was last seen out when scoring at Wetherby in May and is earmarked to go over fences in due course. He would not want the ground too soft but conditions here are not bad and if fit enough he can oblige. He is sure to be tested though by Sobraon who has the edge in fitness, having made a successful hurdling debut at Kelso in October. Nicky Richards thinks highly of the son of Topanaoora who will be interesting when tackling handicap company. Bubba Boy failed to handle a penalty when attempting to follow up his Plumpton bumper win at Cheltenham, and is seen as a future three-mile chaser by connections. He is one for the the future, but for now it should pay to side with Rambling Minster.
