Keen to the Last, Zaffamore and Deep Water are all shortlist material here, and we will take a chance on the latter. The selection will have no problems with the trip or ground, and if he reproduces his best form from last season, he could go well. Keen to the Last looks like the main danger and this Sue Smith-trained gelding is in great heart at present and ran well when a close second behind Stone Cold at Carlisle last month. He is sure to be in the shake-up once again and will give our selection plenty to think about. Zaffamore is returning from a break but showed enough last season to make him competitive, but he may just need this, his first run of the season. Of the rest, Mac Hine is from a top yard and is respected, but Deep Water could represent a bit of value and gets the vote.
