Verdict
The hat-trick chasing Sotik Star is fancied to maintain his progression; possibly with the most to fear from Vacation and Kabeer, who have both hit form at the right time for this. Kabeer deserved his win here a fortnight ago and will be a big threat if he is in the same frame of mind. A 4lb higher mark combined with this step up in grade conspire to make life hard for him though, and he needs everything to go his way. Vacation acts well on the artificial surfaces and still has scope for improvement from his current rating. His rider's claim will be a help on these terms and the partnership shouldn't be underestimated. Daniel Thomas is also worth a mention, as he showed ability as juvenile and will be a force to be reckoned with if he retains enthusiasm for racing. However, Sotik Star has started to show his true colours and is fancied to land his third consecutive win without too much fuss. The son of Elnadim is a late developing type that did not see a racecourse until September of this year. He has progressed at a rate of knots since then and looks to hold a solid chance of furthering his reputation as one to keep on the right side for the time being.
