In depth

Verdict

The lightly-raced Summerfree produced a much better effort at Southwell last Tuesday and could be on the upgrade. If he reproduces that form on the Polytrack, he should be winning soon but THE BLUE DOG could hardly have been more impressive when running away with an apprentices' handicap under Joe Doyle here on Friday. She wasn't stopping at the end of that 1m4f so the extra furlong shouldn't be a problem and she gets the vote. Admirable Duque won over 1m6f at Wolverhampton last month but was then pulled up over hurdles. The Holyman might need this and Peachez has disappointed but Nave is only a pound higher than when winning at Epsom in the summer and is dropped in grade for this.
