Familiar Affair gets the nod over Ivory Coast and Platinum Pirate, with Ephesus another to add to the equation. Familiar Affair was kicked on to make all by Fergal Lynch in similar company at Ripon last time, after which he was claimed by David Barron who obviously believes there is another win in the tank. Royston Ffrench may adopt the same tactics in the saddle today, and if so they may well pay off as there are no pacey sorts in opposition. Ivory Coast gained her first Turf victory when given a fine ride by Steve Drowne to land a Brighton seller last month, but although she showed plenty of resolution, is no good thing to repeat the feat. Platinum Pirate may have it to do with his come from behind style but will have no problems with the ground, while Ephesus is held by the selection on Ripon running but has won in better company than this in the past. Tricky Venture and Rebate are others to consider, and Go Green has the least weight, but Familiar Affair is the selection.
