The King of Angels is the highest rated of the 12 runners having earned a rating of 128 but he is probably higher than he should be having not won since November 2007 and having been beaten in recent starts in point-to-points and preference is for LISADELL KING, who gets the vote over Burntoakboy. Richard Newland's gelding, a point-to-point winner two outings ago, ran well in defeat on his return to rules racing when chasing home Gentle George at Huntingdon last month and a reproduction of that form will see him go close. Nick Kent's Farmer Frank has won his last three starts, two of which have been between the flags (including his latest success) and he has to be considered but this looks tougher than the race that he won at Towcester back in April last year. The 10-year-old Whizzaar made an encouraging return at Taunton last month and is another to consider along with Point Proven, who has found just one too good in his last two starts in points. Plenty of these have claims in a competitive hunter chase but Lisadell King has been in fine form in points having won his last four starts and followed that winning run back under rules when taking a contest here last month; he can make it six on the bounce today.
