An intriguing classified stakes race with several runners holding claims including Mick Channon's once-raced Khuzdar. The son of Definite Article looked as though the run would do him good when making a winning debut at Southwell but how good that form is remains to be seen. Easier to weigh up are the claims of Bryn Palling's Cool Spice, who does not know how to run a bad race and should again figure in the finish. Others with claims include Sir Mark Prescott's Unleash, who has struggled off high marks in handicaps this term and Andy Turnell's Noble Pasao, who lost little in defeat behind King's Crest last time.
