Verdict

This is a wide open nursery handicap in which Artadi, Jay and Amphitheatre look to be the leading players and the tentative nomination is given to the last mentioned. The selection was a little disappointing last time on the AW at Southwell but he had previously run well when third behind Don't Tell Trigger at Newmarket's July meeting. He gives the impression that he is best when allowed to dictate the pace from the front and with this in mind the booking of Frankie Dettori really catches they eye. Artadi was a little unlucky in running at Lingfield last time and may be the one to give our selection the most to do. However, she was well beaten on her only previous try at this trip and for that reason it is difficult to put her forward with any confidence. Jay was disappointing at Redcar last time but she had previously won well when defeating His Majesty at Yarmouth. She is not the most reliable but Darryll Holland was on board on her only previous win and with him back in the plate here she has to be of interest. Lorna Dune seemed to be suited by this step up to 7 furlongs last time out and is another worth a look in the market, but for the winner we return to Amphitheatre.
