Terraquin seemed not to get home over a mile at Sandown last time but, in a poor contest, might be worth taking a chance with on this less testing course with Arzoo and Unicorn Reward rated the main dangers. The selection opened his account by landing a Southwell maiden in May and, although twice beaten in handicaps since then, has not been disgraced. With doubts concerning his main dangers, James Toller's colt looks worth chancing. Arzoo tackled a mile for the first time himself at Ayr recently and has yet to convince that he stays so a bigger danger could be Unicorn Reward, who won at Warwick over this trip last month. That was on rain-softened ground though and the son of Turtle Island may not have conditions to suit today. Wolverhampton winner Ephesus is yet to prove he is as effective on turf, Caroubier seems to be in the grip of the handicapper at present and, with John Dunlop's stable struggling to find the winners, Island Saint is probably best watched for the time being. To sum up, this is far from an inspiring contest and the vote goes to Terraquin.
