Shrine Mountain can complete a hat-trick, with Grecian Gold, Fantasy Defender and Ask The Clerk seen as the main dangers. Not too many can be fancied here, and Shrine Mountain therefore has obvious claims after gaining back-to-back victories at Southwell last month. The fitting of a visor has been a masterstroke by trainer Jack Holt, and with Eddie Ahern to help, the four-year-old can keep up the good work back on Turf. Grecian Gold looked as though another furlong or two would come in handy when third in a Windsor maiden on his return to action, and this lightly-raced individual will be a danger despite having to give weight away all round. Fantasy Defender was noted staying on nicely at the finish when third in apprentice company at Kempton last time, and Kevin Darley's mount is another to consider for the frame at least, while Ask The Clerk hails from a stable that has sprung to prominence on the Flat thanks to the exploits of Speciosa, and so is worth a mention if only for that fact. All in all, Shrine Mountain has very obvious claims in a poor affair.
