Several of these have come very close to losing their maiden tags including CAPTAIN LUKE, who produced his best run so far when a very good third behind Muzak in a Galway handicap where he was staying on strongly over that 2m2f. With the longer trip sure to suit he's taken to get off the mark at the chief expense of Hello Louie. Michael Moran's charge has been improving over timber and followed a narrow defeat at Wexford with a very good third place in a stronger event at Limerick. Cosmic Wonder was sent to Uttoxeter for a maiden last month and started a short-priced favourite but couldn't cope with Wayward Glance. He should do better on today's softer ground and rates a threat but Fairwood Massini has now gone 23 starts without winning and may be better over fences. Akatara has had plenty of chances but looks best of the remainder.
