Verdict
Last time out winner HARAKAN gets the nod in a tight looking claimer but David Evans' gelding will have strong opposition from Sahrati and Sedgewick. State General looks well treated in this field based on his official rating but with him well out of knick we were most drawn to the selection after he dropped into this grade for the first time to score on his last run. He has more on his plate this time but the yard do well in these sorts of races and he should be putting in a bold bid. Sahrati is a rare all weather representative for Alan King and is unexposed on the level. On the pick of his flat form he's an outstanding chance but is better on turf and is closely matched with the pick in this sphere. Sedgewick is on form but much of his chances will depend on how he runs at Wolverhampton on Friday and we would also suggest that he is better on the slower artificial surfaces. Escardo hasn't had much racing recently and seems to go well fresh so despite needing to improve he stays on our list but Harakan looks the safest option in a tricky puzzle.
