        Verdict

        With the Simon Dow stable now in good form and with soft ground to suit, Route Barree is bound to be a popular choice with backers, especially with Kieren Fallon booked to ride. Spring Pursuit has his favoured ground but does not always run up to expectations at Kempton, while all-weather winners Amigo and Guarded Secret have to prove they are equally as effective on turf.
