In depth

Verdict

An ordinary maiden can go to IVER BRIDGE LAD, who is expected to relish the step up to six furlongs. I'Malwaysright and One Hit Wonder have the benefit of experience and can make this a good test. The latter needs to improve on his debut run, though. And it may be best to gauge the interest of the betting market before taking a chance with Mouse Hamilton-Fairley's charge. Another worth noting is Noble Greek, who represents a yard whose burgeoning reputation assures cramped odds for a fancied newcomer. Again the market is going to be the best guide where he is concerned. I'Malwaysright has ability but doesn't appear to be a straightforward character. He has been very keen in each of this three previous starts and needs to learn how to settle. Therefore, Iver Bridge Lad takes the eye as a better option today. A son of top-class sprinter Avonbridge, this fellow did very little wrong behind a couple of decent types at Newmarket in April. And with the extra furlong sure to suit, this presents Iver Bridge Lad with a great opportunity to gain a confidence boosting success if all goes to plan for him today
