In depth

Verdict

There is little between Lewis Island and Shafeeq on last month's Goodwood form but the former, who found trouble in running should comfirm the placings and will be hard to beat off a 2lb higher mark. Hatter's Lad was an impressive Wolverhampton maiden winner in October and he appeals as the type to progress further this term while there is stamina in Softly's pedigree and she hinted that she'd appreciate this trip when a strong finishing fourth over 10f at Bath last time.
