MAGIC WARRIOR caught the eye last time out and is taken to go one better at the expense of Southern Mistral and Watson's Bay. The selection was second to Nassar at Wolverhampton last week and is only two pounds higher for his troubles. He has won off a higher mark in the past and his potentially well in with the handicapper at present. If he recaptures his recent form he will take all the beating. Southern Mistral was running off a turf mark of 49 when scoring at Ripon last week. He now runs off a more realistic mark of 59 back on the all weather so life will be tougher. That said having got his head in front last time he has to be respected so any moves in the market should be monitored. Top weight Watson's Bay is nothing but consistent. He scored at Wolverhampton during the winter but he generally struggles to get his head in front so at best he looks an each way possibility. So for the winner we return to Magic Warrior.
