Verdict

A race complicated by the fact that a couple of the intended runners are dependant on contrasting ground, so there is every possibility that this will cut up even further from the disappointing turn out from a host of five-day acceptors. However, assuming that there is sufficient cut in the ground for Miss Mattie Ross to take her chance, this looks to be a the mercy of the eight-year-old mare. Both Indien Du Bolay and Boulta have found the selection too good in similar races already over the course of the last few months and will do well to reverse the form. However, the last named did not go down without a fight and is the best alternative if the rain stays away today. That scenario will ensure that Alittlebitopower takes his place in the line up but, he lacks expedience of these fences and is not hard overlook today. Therefore, with the overnight weather dictating how many will face the starting tapes, Miss Mattie Ross is chosen if the rains arrive, whereas Boulta is fancied if faster ground prevails. An updated going report will determine the state of play before the off.
