Hypnotic Vibes has been in good form of late and has already shown a liking for chasing having won at Southwell when last seen in August but a penalty for that success leaves the four-year-old with more to do today and a better bet looks to be FRENCH SAULAIE, who gets the vote with Ellerslie Tom rated the best of the rest. The selection showed decent form over hurdles, earning a rating in the high 130s, and the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding has already shown a liking for chasing, running much better when last seen over the larger obstacles in May having fallen on his debut. Nicky Henderson's Ingratitude ran creditably on his chase debut and reappearance at Fontwell last month and should strip fitter for the run so he has to be respected, while Albinus has seemingly lost his way on the flat and hurdles over the last couple of years and is hard to recommend with any confidence on his first start over fences. Ellerslie Tom was similarly rated to the selection over hurdles and has to be strongly considered but Alison's Thorpe's gelding was very disappointing behind Orpen Wide at Sedgefield last time and a better bet looks to be French Saulaie.
