In depth

Verdict

Down¿s Folly, Dalida and Penric are the three to consider here and Down¿s Folly is taken to lead them home. Dalida was made favourite at Sedgefield last time but a stumble after the third from home proved costly and she had to settle for fourth. She has been given a break since but may find top weight too big a burden. Penric showed improved form to win over this course and distance last time. He was never far away from the pace and kept on well in the closing stages to score nicely. He is another who has crept up the weights and will go well. Henry Daly¿s Down¿s Folly seems the one they all have to beat. This lightly raced individual was made favourite on his seasonal re-appearance but finished second. This promising individual is expected to improve and Down¿s Folly gets the vote.
