Not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and the TEAMtalk nod goes to Malakal who should be able to follow up his recent Market Rasen victory under a 7lb penalty. The Barney Curley-trained gelding travelled smoothly throughout before quickening clear to score with plenty in hand so looks more than capable of staying ahead of the handicapper at present. Rodiak has been in fair form of late but races from 4lb out of the weights proper while Anatar has been raised a harsh 8lb for a narrow Newton Abbot win last month and may struggle to concede 18lb to the selection.
