Sun King, Wise Tail, Risky Way and Dinofelis have all got claims here but we will take a chance on Gargoyle Girl. The selection was second behind Vandas Choice at Perth last time with Gabla back in third. That run reads well in the context of this race, and with improvement likely for that first run over hurdles in a year she looks the one to beat. Wise Tale is the one that could give our selection the most to do, but he could only finish second behind Gabla at Carlisle last time, so Gargoyle Girl looks to have something in hand with him. Risky Way would have a chance on his best form, but he was well beaten behind Whaleef at Bangor last time, while Dinofelis won well at Ludlow but then disappointed last time out and is not one to be relied upon. Sun King is the other that could go well and this Mary Reveley gelding has to be respected. However, although he will go well on this ground, he was a well beaten third behind Volano at Huntingdon last time. Many would have chances on their best form in an open race, but we are happy to side with Gargoyle Girl.
