With Benrajah normally needing a run or two to put him spot on Martin Todhunter's gelding is taken to improve for his recent reappearance at Hexham and get the better of Garde Bien and Mumaris. The last mentioned hails from the in-form stable of Lucinda Russell so should not fail for the lack of peak fitness. However, the 10-year-old seems plenty high enough in the weights at present so may be best watched until the handicapper relents. The Venetia Williams-trained Imaginaire is gradually dropping to a fair mark but is difficult to recommend on the balance of his form, while Red Socialite has clearly had his problems. Keith Reveley's Left Bank faces no easy task from out of the handicap and of more interest would be Ferdy Murphy's Garde Bien, who makes his debut in a handicap off what looks a fair mark. A market move for Caribbean Cove would be of interest but preference is for Benrajah, who should improve for his run at Hexham and is taken to go one better today.
