      Verdict

      ULTIMATE STAR has only won a Wolverhampton maiden so far but wasn't disgraced on his Turf and handicap debut at Doncaster. There is more to come from David Simcock's colt, who can pick up the winning thread again here. Bedrock looks the danger as he appeared to lose his action last time at Goodwood and was allowed to walk over the line. He'd run well earlier at Doncaster and Windsor and won on ground with some give at Newbury last year. Rosamaria reverted to type at Pontefract after a better run at Hamilton and the remaining trio are even harder to fancy.
