    Verdict

Henry Cecil's Colophony looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to open his account and should do so with the minimum of fuss with the newcomers Fabranese and Kelbrook likely to fight out the battle for minor honours. The selection ran up to his debut form when beaten a neck by Bravo Dancer at Nottingham last month and a reproduction should suffice. Kelbrook, an Unfuwain gelding, and the Dr Devious filly Fabranese are both bred for stamina and should appreciate further in due course. Neither represent stables known for their prowess at readying a runner first time up but with Paul Howling's stable in good form at present, narrow preference for the forecast spot is for the last mentioned. The others with racing experience make very limited appeal and it will be a surprise if any of the trio of Millfields Dreams, Un Autre Espere or Mister Man can trouble Colophony, who is taken to justify likely prohibitive odds.
