Hurricane Thomas is selected here ahead of Atayeb and Spanish Diva. The well-bred Atayeb has improved recently for the step up in trip on the all-weather, winning last time. He is interesting on Turf now. Hurricane Thomas has also improved for stepping up in trip and a five-pounds rise for his Musselburgh win over today's trip should not stop him from running well. Irish Quest attracts similar comments to the two horses already mentioned so afford him respect too. The handicapper may now have caught up with Down The Brick, while Sonara looks possibly held now by Hurricane Thomas based on Musselburgh form. Interestingly, if you take form lines involving the Sir Mark Prescott-trained Western Point, Spanish Diva, who was given a patient ride when stepped up to 12 furlongs and third to that horse last time, is very well-weighted today and, lightly raced, should have better to come. Finally, Hatton Flight earned winning brackets last time and a three-pounds rise for that Bath success does not rule him out. The selection, though, is Hurricane Thomas.
