Verdict

The Clive Brittain-trained Heavenly Bay gets the vote in this four-runner affair. The selection hasn't run since finishing third in the Lingfield Oaks Trial, but that run puts her in with every chance if she is sharp enough after her absence. Innovation was just touched off by Ravenglass at Bath last time and, although not blessed with pace, is capable of winning her maiden. Amalianburg should also be sharper for her fourth in a Nottingham maiden, but further improvement is required from Henry Cecil's charge, although the stable is in better form now. Lahob's form is nothing to write home about and a big jump in improvement would be required for him also. Overall, then, we take Heavenly Bay to make her class pay.
