Flying Bantam, while consistent, has had plenty of chances and may be best passed over again in a race where the vote goes to Thornaby Green who is taken to reverse recent Catterick form with Lord Baskerville. The last mentioned showed improved form when chasing home Wendy's Girl at the North Yorkshire venue last week and has to be respected but preference is for Thornaby Green. David Barron's gelding has three-quarters of a length to find with Lord Baskerville on Catterick running but as that was only his second start of the campaign there my be more to come and he gets the vote. The booking of Kevin Darley for Linda Perratt's Sweet Cando takes the eye and she has to be respected but may need some help from the handicapper, while Fox Covert is gradually dropping to a fair mark and is another worthy of a mention. Smart Danny ran better than of late at Redcar last time and is entitled to be thereabouts if reproducing that form but Thornaby Green holds solid claims and gets the nod.
