A poor contest where Cross Of Lorraine, Ingleby Princess, Maison Dieu and Campo Bueno make the shortlist and preference is for Cross Of Lorraine who has shown himself to go well first time out and although failing to get his head in front last season, is a consistent sort who invariably runs his race. Chris Grants' stable is in fine form of late and he gets the vote. Campo Bueno made a pleasing return to the turf at Catterick in an apprentice handicap but more will be required here while a market check is advised where seasonal debutant Ingleby Princess is concerned. Maison Dieu might just find this 6f on the sharp side. Cross Of Lorraine is given the tentative vote.
