Given that Proper is more likely to run earlier on the card we will take Greyfriars Abbey to land this handicap from Alonso De Guzman and Srikuantan. Mark Johnston has his runners in tremendous form and Greyfriars Abbey will not be found wanting for fitness despite not having been seen since August, when he landed 9f and 10f handicaps at Hamilton and Ripon. A 5lb rise should not unduly inconvenience and he can score. Alonso De Guzman steps back up in trip, having won over 9f at Wolverhampton last time, and from a 4lb higher mark he can remain very competitive. Srikuantan is in good form and notched up a couple of wins over this trip at Lingfield earlier in the year. Despite being beaten last time from this mark he is not one to discount readily. Artreju improved for the step up to 11f last time and this trip should also suit, so he can get involved, while Wild Fell Hall is interesting in first-time blinkers, though preference is for Greyfriars Abbey.
