A very good race for the Showcase Handicap with Alrabab, Desert Royalty, Lady McNair and Magic Mistress possibly the ones to focus on, with our vote going to Alrabab. The selection is from the in-form Marcus Tregoning yard and has now won two of her three races, the latest over ten furlongs at Ripon (Aunt Rita held on that form). The step up in trip should pose no problems and she looks the one to beat. Desert Royalty's form is solid, she stays this trip and will have the valuable services of Kieren Fallon. Lady McNair and top weight Magic Mistress also have claims, but Celtic Truth was very disappointing at Windsor last time. Overall, then, Alrabab is a fairly confident choice.
