Froghole Flyer can topple Mikado, with Smart Mover the other main contender. The top three on the racecard all carry penalties, with Mikado hardest done by, but with Alan Berry able to claim a handy 7lb, the task is not as hard as it might seem and he should go well in his bid to follow up a decent win at Stratford just four days ago. However, Froghole Flyer was just as impressive when humping a big weight to victory in a Plumpton handicap last time and could be on the upgrade. Back in novice company now, Gary Moore's seven-year-old might prove too strong for Mikado, as long as he handles the faster ground. Smart Mover certainly handled the fast conditions when scraping home at Newbury in March, but needed all of the extended three miles to do so, and may be taken off his feet here. In any case he is a future chaser in the making and does not appeal nearly as much as Froghole Flyer.
