Barranco gets a tentative vote over Silistra, Herecomestanley and Tetragon, with Travelling Light not to totally discounted. The latter has actually shown nothing in four starts over timber, but given the Pipe stable's record with animals switched to handicap company, it would be no surprise if Travelling Light were to take a hand in the finish. However, we shall put forward Barranco as the one to be on. Gary Moore's ex-French Flat performer gained his only win on these shores in selling company at Taunton 12 months ago, but was then beaten fair-and-square in a class 4 handicap at Huntingdon on his next outing two months later. That was on faster ground though, and today's underfoot conditions should suit him much more on his return to action. If he is anywhere near fit, this class 5 affair should be well within his capabilities, and he gets the vote. Silistra went well for his lady pilot when second at Plumpton last time, and is another that will handle the ground, while Herecomestanley has been plying his trade over fences, and will no doubt be tackling them again soon. Tetragon made too many mistakes when pulled up over fences here last time, so he too reverts to timber. Lightly-weighted, he may take a hand in proceedings as well, but we remain loyal to Barranco.
