Course and distance winner Absinther looks the answer here ahead of Royal Approval and James Caird. The selection won on his penultimate start and holds a decent level of form. His course win should hold him in good stead from his draw and he is well suited by a fast surface. Royal Approval has run well in some slowly run races of late and if there is no pace here he could be involved in the shake-up. James Caird runs from the in-form Mark Tompkins yard and has shown steady if unspectacular progress this season but needs to improve again to be involved here though with the stable now going well that improvement is possible. However, Absinther remains the call in a tricky little contest.
