PARKINSON is given the tentative vote to land the feature race on the card with Nykel and Possextown both worth noting. In his day the selection was rated as high as 119 after winning a handicap chase at Huntington for Jonjo O'Neill two seasons ago. His form started to dwindle quite rapidly thereafter, but he has been in great form between the flags of late and won a mens open in good style last time out. If he recaptures that same level of form he will not be too far away come the business end of the race. Nykel won three times for Alan King and earned him a career high rating of 128 after winning a class 3 handicap chase at Wincanton eighteen months ago. Again his form began to crumble as he reached his peak and although he has not reached the winners enclosure after a number of point to point runs, if he could recapture only a fraction of his best form he would have to be seriously respected. Possextown was rated as high as 125 at his best under rules when trained by Nicky Richards. He won four times but never managed to score over fences. He won on his sole start between the flags less than two weeks ago so is another that should be noted for any market support. However for the winner we return to Parkinson.
