Verdict

Danandy bids to follow up last week's Worcester victory under a penalty but this is a better race and he might fall short. Strumble Head was only fourth in this last year and races off the same mark while Velator appears to have lost his way and is best watched until showing signs of a revival. Whistling Senator represents last year's successful combination but conditions may have gone against the top weight. It was soft going when UNION JACK D'YCY won at Warwick in January but things haven't gone to plan since. He's been unlucky on a couple of occasions, however, including here two runs ago when knocked over by a loose horse, and could go close granted a clear passage today. Western King's winning form last year was on fast ground.
