Ollie Magern can see off the challenge of Sonevafushi and Turtle Soup in this novices chase. The Nigel Twiston-Davies team continue to mop up at present and look to have another ready made winner in Ollie Magern who bids to add to his successful chase debut at Stratford. He made all that day to beat Vodka Bleu who has franked the form twice since, and this former useful hurdler should be suited by the tight track with his front-running style. Sonevafushi was disappointing over hurdles but made a winning start to his new career at Fontwell recently. He did not impress with his jumping early on but warmed to his task as the race went on and can give the selection a race without quite being good enough. Turtle Soup took on top company over hurdles and was rated on 144 by the time he lined up against Baracouda at Sandown in February. Opportunities in that sphere will be hard to come by so fencing is the next option for the eight-year-old who will handle the ground at least. He is best watched on his chase bow though, and in a race that should only concern the trio mentioned, Ollie Magern is taken to make all.
