Verdict
Mamideos has improved consistently since falling at Newbury on his seasonal debut and looks set to land this ahead of Acoustic and chase debutante Dimitri. The selection ran his best race to date last time out at Kempton and would have finished closer if not bumped two fences from home. With the distance and ground holding no fear he looks very capable of breaking his duck over fences here. Acoustic put in a sound performance last time out and should be tuned up here for his trainer who does particularly well at this track. Dimitri has some useful hurdle form to his name and if translating those efforts to the larger obstacles he can be given a chance. However, Mamideos looks the one to be on for his in-form trainer Tom George.
