      Verdict

Martin Pipe's Katies Genie would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to take a hand in this company and should be good enough to make a winning debut over hurdles. Lightly raced on the flat and unable to win in five starts over distances up to a mile, the daughter of Syrtos should have little difficulty in getting two miles over timber and, against such modest opposition, is the selection. Anything that Paul Nicholls runs in this company has to be respected and Billy Ballbreaker ran well enough in two bumpers to be given a chance. The Ron Hodges-trained La Marette and Jimmy Frost's Mantilla have bits and pieces of form that give them a chance but this is a poor contest and it will be no surprise to see the Pipe team take it.
