led until 9th, mistake 12th, soon weakened
tracked leaders, led 10th until blundered badly and unseated rider 12th
prominent until 3rd, in touch, ridden approaching 4 out, one pace
jumped well, held up in touch, smooth headway to lead 4 out, clear 2 out, easily
held up in touch, headway with winner and every chance 4 out, ridden approaching next, soon beaten
Former high-class hurdler In Contrast gets the call here on his chasing debut with Lu Du Moulin Mas looking the one to give him most to do. The Philip Hobbs-trained selection achieved a rating of 150 over hurdles and, while he struggled to get back to that form this year, still showed that he retained ability. Liz du Moulin Mas landed the odds at Newton Abbot on his chasing debut but was not exactly impressive in doing so. That said, he holds a leading chance. Alan King's Sento might prove best of the rest.
